The
chassis for the fifth car, the Harvey Titanium Special will be just
that. The Entire chassis is .050-inch wall titanium tube. Titanium is
40% lighter than its equivalent in steel. This chassis weighr 55
pounds. Thompson hopes to keep the entire car's weight under 1000
pounds. Cooling water flows forward to a Harrison cross-flow radiator
through upper right frame tube, returns through lower left tube. |
